This Privacy Policy explains how Woways ("we", "us"), operator of the Perfoin work & performance management platform, collects, uses, shares and protects information when you visit our website or use the product.

1. Who we are

Perfoin is a multi-tenant SaaS platform for managing tasks, daily reports, goals, KPIs, attendance and employee performance. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@perfoin.app (placeholder — replace with your real address).

2. Information we collect

Account & company data — names, work email, employee ID, role/level, department, designation and reporting relationships provided by your company administrator or by you.
Content you create — tasks, daily reports, goals, KPIs, attendance records, comments, files and other data you enter into the platform.
Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, actions taken and timestamps, used for security and to improve the service.
Cookies & local storage — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and browser storage for per-user conveniences (e.g. remembered preferences). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

Provide, operate and secure the platform and your company's tenant.
Authenticate users, enforce role- and level-based access, and maintain an audit trail of changes.
Generate the performance analytics and explainable scores that are the product's core function.
Communicate service, security and support messages.
Detect, prevent and investigate abuse, fraud and security incidents.

Your company is the controller of the workforce data it puts into the platform; we act as its processor for that data and handle it under our agreement with them.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

Infrastructure sub-processors — Supabase (managed PostgreSQL, hosted in Mumbai, India) and Vercel (application hosting) to run the service.
Optional integrations you enable — e.g. Google (Calendar / Meet) only if a user connects it.
Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users and the public.

5. Data retention

We keep company and personal data for as long as the account is active and as needed to provide the service. On account closure or trial expiry, data is retained for a limited wind-down period and then deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law. Immutable audit records are retained per the applicable retention policy.

6. Where data is processed

Primary data is stored and processed in India (Mumbai / ap-south-1). Where data is accessed from other locations, we apply appropriate safeguards.

7. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location and applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because your data usually sits inside your employer's tenant, please raise requests with your company administrator first, or contact us and we will route it appropriately.

8. Children

The platform is intended for use by organisations and their employees. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in-product.
